DAY SERVICE 

Our service is small and friendly, providing a safe and fun environment for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities & autism, to take part in lots of different activities. Our activity range includes:

​

Independent living skills

• laundry, cooking, cleaning, road safety awareness training, stranger danger, safe places awareness

Creative skills 

• writing, painting, drawing, craft work, textiles, paper-making, clay work & pottery

Developmental skills

• reading, money, time, budgeting, maths, spelling 

Being active

• walking, cycling, swimming, gardening, bowling

As well as recreation

• cinema, theatre, museums, galleries, day trips, zoo’s, wildlife parks, shopping 

 

We are able to offer a wide range of different activities as our groups are small and our staffing ratio is high, so no two days are the same. We like to offer a service that is flexible, and we are always looking for something new to try, or to get involved with. The Hive also provides events & workshops with other services/ professionals/ partnerships to offer unique opportunities to our Service Users.
